to allow bmx6 daemons to talk to each other on VLAN 10. batman clouds are also segmented using different VLAN tags between different clouds; segmenting on BSSID layer is unnecessary.

h2. But my "iw station dump" shows a lot of faraway stations from a neighbouring cloud, that I don't want my node to directly talk to!

Then use different channels between clouds. Changing BSSIDs but staying on the same channel will create the illusion of physically segmenting the clouds, while in fact they'll be interfering each other, mutually degrading performance.
